Many people have come to me with complaints of low back pain and tight hips. As a Pilates teacher, that was the number one complaint I received. My client's goals were the same as yours: strengthening their core muscles, easing tight muscles, and living pain-free. If you are reading this article, you are probably struggling with lower back pain and have tried many hip stretches. So what's the solution?
The Secret To Healing Muscle Pain
Mobility. The ability to have the full range of motion in your muscles and joints is one of the most important aspects of fitness
Corrective Exercise is a technique that leverages an understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address and fix movement compensations and imbalances to improve the overall quality of movement during workouts and in everyday life.
Consistency is arguably the most important component when working to accomplish goals, in or out of the gym. Without consistency, programs are unorganized, the body has a harder time adapting, and forming habits may be more challenging.
The First Step To Take In Beating Low Back Pain
Is to assess where you are now at this very moment. Are you in pain or discomfort? If you are struggling with pain, then you are most likely experiencing inflammation. A couple of simple at-home remedies are Tumeric Pills, Anti- Inflammatory foods, Epsom salt bath, and gentle stretches to ease muscle tension.
The next step I would recommend is making an appointment with a therapist to check your body alignment. Once you have the green light to work out, I recommend beginning with these simple and effective exercises.

A BEGINNER LOW BACK EXERCISE ROUTINE
The beginner exercises below help strengthen and tone your hips, glutes, lower back, and stomach muscles. Remember to move slowly and to exhale as on exertion. In my workouts and clients' workouts, I use Pilates props such as Pilates Ball or Booty Bands to activate muscles and create a safe challenge while exercising.

One of the biggest challenges I face as a personal trainer is coaching engagement of the core. I love this pilates ball because it gives clients somewhere to focus and squeeze.
